I own a lot of lipgloss. I am not even really sure how it has gotten so bad when in all truth my addiction to chapstick is far better known. I literally can’t leave the house without my Aquaphor or Rose’s. But nonetheless via giftbags, parties, fashion events, and publicists I have quite the collection. From M.A.C to Vincent Longo, Lancome and Tarte I have every color and texture you can imagine. My favorites are probably Tarte’s Double Ended Lipglosses in Samantha and Jake or Luke and Laura or Jane Iredale’s Pure Gloss. I like glosses that are light, non sticky, and versatile and these both fit the bill.
Anyway, despite having lipglosses all over my apartment, I am almost always faced with a shortage as I head out the door. Needless to say, this confuses the heck out of me! If I have so damn many of the things where do they keep disappearing? This is especially upsetting when you consider that I live in a tiny box.
Yesterday I got my answer. My friends over at Freddy and Ma, the amazing design-it-yourself handbag website (read their blog here), lent me some too cute for words clutches for my out and about lifestyle (you should have heard me when Amy had them sent over, I was the most excited girl ever!) since you know a girl is always asked about her handbag
Anyway, they needed them back yesterday when news got out that a big star had kept a few of their bags and their public relations firm needed their samples back. Thus, before they went back to their rightful owner I had to empty the pretties out. Amy had sent me three bags: the equestrian themed one above, a red leather snakeskin embossed clutch, and a gray patterned clutch. While I found lots of quarters in the bags and not more than a few business cards, it seemed that I had left a ligloss or two for good measure in each of them. Colors that I thought had gone missing completely ended up in purse crevasses.
My advice if any of your favorite lip colors have gone missing? Gather all of your purses and do a quick empty. And if you don’t find the color you want you will probably find enough change to go towards buying a new one to ease the pain just a little.
