Fashionweek Blogging: Glam.com’s Forums!

Feeling a little left out of Fashionweek? No need to fret! Glam.com has a great discussion forum with a ton of exclusive content. I am actually pretty impressed! The overall blogging impact of Fashionweek has actually been pretty shoddy in all honesty. It is very difficult to actually get internet access, photos are a problem because we don’t have the same access and connections, and frankly there just isn’t time in the day to manage it all.

Seeing myself in WWD I realize that I am one of the few bloggers who is coping at all with the Fashionweek experience and if you want to know my honest feelings I feel like I am doing a horrible job of it. I wanted to give a honest and forward perspective on Fashionweek and half of my posts are simple descriptions of the clothing. Frankly, you readers know that you can find photos on Getty mere hours afterwards. What I can offer is my real opinion.

So I am thankful that Glam.com has gotten up a forum so that we can all start a bigger discourse. Glam is an amazing startup and their effort is impressive considering how badly fashion reacts to the digital age.

Don’t be so hard on yourself! As I’ve gone through all of the glitches in my line this year I’ve realized that things rarely come together the first attempt. You will survive the glitchiness and figure out the mystery of fashion week blogging… I believe in you!

I signed up for the Glam.com thing but frankly I have no idea what it is or what it is for. The Nanette Lepore blog is terrific… The discussion forum looked pretty empty… maybe I am clicking the wrong thing?

I am a brand spanking new blogger who has been more than impressed with you. Also, every other site that I enjoy, mentions you as sort of the summit of fashion blogs. Keep up the good work. I will make sure and read your blog three times a day, at least, in the hopes that I can gain a different perspective and soak up all the knowledge you drop.

Look for me in the Glam Forum as I am about to check it out!

I saw the WWD article. Way to go Julie!!! You’re a catalyst for change in an industry that doesn’t know what to do w/ tech.
I also have been a member of Glam for a few months…looks like community tab and forums are new. You going to do any posts? =)

I think you are doing a great job. The shows so far have been pretty ho-hum so it is hard to work yourself up over them. I appreciate your honest commentary. It stands out in everything else I have read so far!

  6. I totally agree that you are doing a great job in what must be maddening circumstances. Hang in there, it’s almost over. :)
