I just came out of the Alexandre Herchcovitch show and my instant reaction was: mmmmmm pirates! My favorite look sums up the collection for me: a green almost paisley print shrug with a green and silver ninja-esque head wrap. I want it, I need it, but I don’t have neough fashion cred to pull it off. Which really is the mode of the show period. Lots of clothing few people have the ability to pull off.
There were many wearable pieces in basic black with interesting detailing and the emphasis on green as the major color in the palet was appealing. So appealing in fact that the runway had rows and rows of green and white pirate flags with skull and crossbones.
All of the models had a little headband type wrap that went around their heads and then wrapped back around their necks. Good for preventing colds perhaps but not for everyday.
I saw Jay McCarroll in the front row decked out in green and orange! How appealing!
