Fashionweek Liveblogging: Alice Roi

I just came out of Alice Roi and my overall impressions are very positive. The color palet was subdued in hues of cream, white, gray, blacks and a few splashes of bright pink and aqua blue. The clothing was light, airy, and full of volume will still suggesting cooler weather.

The styling was well interesting. The hair was messy pulled up updos, very easy anf light. The kind of hair I could see myself rocking! My only complaint? Serious death lips ala i am pretty nyc complaint of Chanel. The girls all had blacks lips! The constrast was impressive next to to the pale skin and pale clothing but I can’t see anyone wearing. The clothing was too light and enjoyable for the makuep.

The look of collection was tempered volume. In particular, there was a lot of volume in the dresses, some of which were real hits, but others felt like they could use a little more tailoring. No one had any of the defined waste look in fact, these dresses are great for those with a little less work in the Pilates department. At first I felt a dislike for the volume in the dresses and the unstructured look. But as te collection as it progressed I liked it more and more. The more looks I saw the more the volume made sense as a free and easy look for girls on the move.

Sadly, one of the models took a spill on the high heels and not a soul tried to help her up! It took her several tries before she tottered back up and continued on. The poor girl!
