Karen Walker is a New Zealand based designer who is showing for her second time at New York Fashion Week this coming season. Karen describes her style as one foot in tailoring and one in streetwear. Her inspirations come from what she calls the “anti-girls” of society. Though one must admit that if “anti-girls” ever wore clothing that looked this good in society I doubt she would retain her anti-status that long. These are “it” girl clothes!

What fun! Thanks for posting the link to her show, I don’t know that I would have found it (here at the bottom of the fashion food chain). I love the slim pants and the flowy dresses.
No sure I’m ready for the return of overalls, though. I suppose it’s inevitable. *sigh*
With her clothes the Anti becomes the IT. –> I agree with that. Thanks for the video.
Again, another of my favourite designers!!! I LOVE that she shows overalls and jumpsuits in one form or another nearly every season, but I am partial to an all-in-one! Great post Julie!

The clothes are not enhanced by the sickly looking models. How about showing us some REAL people. I would be more interested in clothing on healthy looking people. I want to see clothes on a figure that I can aspire to.
